Total

It's a word with several meanings.
The total of a math equation.
"Total" boxed Cereal.
It's what you hear at the cash register at the grocery store.

It's also what you describe when your car is no longer fixable after an accident.

Yesterday, Heavenly Father decided I needed to be humbled and that T and I needed to strengthen our marriage by overcoming the first car accident of our marriage (which I feel we succeeded in. I've never been more grateful for a husband who has the most calming effect on me and who knows exactly what to do in an accident circumstance). I love you, T!

Long story short, as I was coming home yesterday, a large truck failed to seem me when they yielded and I had to swerve to miss them in the road. I ended up over the sidewalk curb and on the lawn of a corner home... and was graciously stopped by a tree.

Scary? Yes. Terrifying? Yes. Humbling? Yes.

A good learning experience?

Yes.

  1. Oh my gosh! That is so scary! Car accidents are no good! I'm so sorry! What are you going to do with the car situation now? I know the feeling of not having a car. Our transmission blew up last summer on the freeway. Luckily we weren't too far from an exit. Well I hope everything works out OK! Yikes!

  2. Oh James, I'm so sorry. I wish I could do something for ya. Maybe it helps that I know how you feel? I've done that twice. It. Stinks. But I haveta agree about how you feel about Tyler calming you after such a scary and awful experience - Dave was the exact same way when I wrecked his car before we were married. I married the most understanding man...and this even happened, like I said, BEFORE we got married. Tyler is so good to you, I'm so glad you have him. Let me know if there's anything I can do!
