a missionary letter and a haircut.

Today we sent off our letters to Elder Hoffman.  We miss him a lot.  Especially T.  They made this unusual connection together before Jonathan left on his mission and could talk all day about technology and guitars.  However, we're super proud of him and the work he's doing in Illinois!  Seriously, the kid is doing amazing things and progressing the work of the Lord in ways only he can be the mouthpiece.

I got a couple coupons from school for a free haircut at a new place called Sport Clips in Orem.  Obviously, it was a place mainly for guys to go to get their hair cut.  So Tyler used the first one today and was treated like a king.  They put a hot towel on his face while they shampooed him up and then he got to watch sports while they cut his hair.

Spoiled rotten.  Good thing we have a few more free haircuts for him!

 {Cute little husband of mine}

Are you kidding me with those eyelashes?!  Our kids better get those long lashes of his.

My man is attractive.  I love him a lot.

I think I'll keep him around for a while.  More like forever...

Update: Poem Form

There once was a girl who taught in the first grade
and many games she made.
Melinda was a great mentor
And was never a bore

This same girl celebrated one year
with her very sweet dear.
They stayed in a Castle room
and that weekend didn't even touch a broom.
(go here for pictures of our castle)

Misty finally landed back in the states
Thank goodness she wasn't late.
We made lots of pretty signs
and my man looked pretty fine.

Jay turned 22
"Woohoo!"
T spoiled her rotten
with a pair of lovely moccasins.

March and April have treated us well
And next week will be even more swell.
J finally graduates
isn't that so great?!

This Weekend

I made delicious food for a Bridal Shower
Shopped for the Bridal Shower
Went to the Bridal Shower
Talked with great friends
Planned a weeks worth of first grade lessons
Studied for one test
Created a 30 minute presentation
Completed all of my Tuesday night H.W. and quizzes
Went to a missionary homecoming
Went bridesmaid shopping with Myst
Finally went running for the first time in ages
Had a mental breakdown
Had dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Kussee
Planned and taught a rockin' primary lesson
Studied for my Children's Lit final (which will be done by this time tomorrow)
and still had time to watch a movie with T

And that's just the beginning of this week...

Just two more weeks.

She's Home

She stepped into our sight at the airport at 7:13pm today. We held lots of colored signs. We screamed and cheered. We had our first complete sister circle dance in 18 months. We may have shed a few tears. And we gave lots of hugs. A lot of them. It was great to hug someone you hugged daily before they left on their mission. I never knew it could be such a great feeling.

Welcome home Sister Madsen.
