T and I started up a health kick. Again.
I'm almost ashamed to say it, but I have not been running since the end of last summer. Or any exercise for that matter (besides keeping up with 32 kiddos everyday).
T does really well at exercising in the morning and has stayed up with his exercise regimen quite consistently.
Exercising in the morning would mean death for me. I can barely roll out of bed, grunt a few times at Tyler, and make a healthy breakfast for the two of us.
We actually planned meals this week and have stuck to them Tonight, we did the most amazing chicken kabobs with grilled peppers and mango on them too.
Oh my.
Bytheway, George Foreman is my hero. Inside grills are my hero during the winter. I don't know what we'd do without George!
We whipped up a healthy salad on the side with spinach, strawberries, feta, and pecans.
I'm loving this healthy meal stuff. Who knew that I might actually crave healthy food over my chocolate? No offense to my chocolate. I still want lots of it!
Due to the fact that morning exercise would make my body go on strike, I surrendered and gave into evening exercising. Every other day I go for a run, while the other days I do some cross-training with jumproping and my exercise ball.
I am determined to lose the 10 pounds that I've gained after we've been married. That puts me over the line into "overweight" for my height and size.
That's no bueno, people.
(However, I refuse to give up chocolate and sweets. The top of the food pyramid does say "sparingly". I can do that.)
Jamie: First of all YOU LOOK FANTASTIC!!! Secondly: That food looks SO delicious!!!!
ReplyDeleteI second Rebekah. You totally look great. But I understand the need to feel healthy. I'm currently doing WWatchers. I have a FB group with a few friends that is all about cheering each other on in being healthy -- do you want to join us? If so, message me!
ReplyDeleteI just cannot BELIEVE that you do not get up in the morning and run with you mom! Come on Jamie, you can do 4:00 a.m. :)
