food and friends... again.

Last night our planned dinner of parmesan crusted tilapia was a bust.  Apparently fish is much better fresh rather than frozen.

Lesson learned.

T saved the day by making his famous sandwiches.  Oh my.  I could eat his sandwiches every day for dinner.  And lunch.  And probably breakfast.

Last night T stuffed our sandwiches full of gouda, provolone, roast beef, ham, lettuce, and our new favorite thing to put on sandwiches- a sunny-side up egg.

Delish!

We've also made this salad numerous times over the past few weeks.  Avocados, tomatoes, fresh corn, feta, and garlic salt combined has become our favorite salad.

Anything avocado makes T a happy boy.

I also get to visit teach some of the most amazing women!  My visiting teachers are wonderful also, but I get to go visit remarkable women every month.  They're so remarkable that they usually never need anything when you pop the question of "can we do anything for you?" or "do you need anything this month?"  So I usually attempt to give them some small something or other for them.

I found the cutest bags along with yummy smelling hand sanitizer to pair up with some gum (because I always need more gum and I'm always digging around my bag for hand sanitizer).

This picture is more for my sake than anyone else's so I don't forget what I have done so I don't repeat it in the future!

And have I told you how much of a moocher I am?  I usually find some way or another to finagle my way into claiming castoff clothes others are about to donate to charity.  This time, someone actually asked me if I wanted their clothes.  Of course, I said yes!

There were a few way cute purple shirts that I just knew one of my besties would love.  Purple is not my color, but it's definitely hers!

Unfortunately, she came to grab them while I was out and about today.  However, you know you're best friends when you can leave the door to your house open while she walks in and tries on clothes while you're gone and then sends pictures of herself in them to your phone.  Nae is a pretty awesome friend.  She has been for over 10 years.

It still makes me happy to get random notes from her, especially because her handwriting is so characteristic of Nae.  And she always draws a star somewhere on her notes, cards, letters, etc.  You could say that she likes loves stars.

Life is good.  It's the little things in life that really count.  It's the little things that make this girl happy.
