19 WEEKS.

Still soooooo close to halfway.  Which, is great.  But, I really just want to know what this baby's gender is.  It's starting to bug me that we don't know.  Enter irritability hormones...

Poor Tyler.  He's been around quite the hormonal wife lately.  I mean, seriously?  There's gotta be a way to turn off the teary-eyed faucet until this baby is out.  Geez.

We began cleaning out our spare bedroom this week to make way for little baby Kussee.  We moved the desk into the living room, which actually was a good move.  I was worried it would look cramped, but it works in the space it's in and is pretty functional still without being an eyesore.  Props to us for being creative with small spaces!

We'll start moving our furniture/crap that we just can't part with downstairs into our storage area in the coming weeks.  We've let our neighbors have our half of the basement for the past 3 1/2 years, so they're in the process of figuring out what to do with their stuff in that space before we move our stuff down.

It'll be nice to have a room for just a baby and relaxing.

The baby bump is actually starting to take a little more shape this week.  Definitely can't suck it in anymore and it's poking out a little bit more.  Yes, I still just look like I ate too many Christmas sweets, BUT the bump is there.  I'll take it.

The landlords also came this week to fix some outlets that started sizzling and crackling last week (!!!).  One outlet melted the plug we had plugged into it and was pretty black on the inside of the outlet when they took the plate off.  Good thing we have the best landlords and they were at the duplex within an hour of us calling them.  An extra bonus?  They're electricians too!  So they fixed those outlets in a snap and updated them with some modern ones that we're confident won't start smoking anytime soon.

Don't worry.  We changed out the batteries in all of our fire/smoke alarms in the house as just an extra precaution.  I can sleep soundly at night.

We also talked to the landlords about the fact that we're pregnant and asked what the rental "rules" would be if we wanted to paint the baby's room some neutral colors.  They gave us the thumbs up to go ahead and paint!  Yay!

Now, to just find out the gender of this kid and we can start the fun nursery designing.  We definitely know we're not going the pink route if it's a girl.  And no pastel/baby blues for a baby boy.  *Barf*

Other than that, we haven't gotten tooooo far on nursery ideas.

We also got a special baby gift this week.  One of my old young women leader's, Catherine, came over and gave us one of the most beautiful knit blankets made by her mom, Grandma Scott.  Grandma Scott played the organ in our ward for as long as I can remember when I was growing up.  She used to have us over to her house for cookies, movies, and to talk about our lives and the background behind the hymns.  She passed away a few years back, which makes this blanket priceless and precious.  T and I love it and can't wait to use it with Baby Kussee.  We already treasure it beyond belief.

And now begins the countdown to the gender ultrasound... Friday couldn't come soon enough!
