It happened.
"It" being heartburn. I've never had it before and then last night it hit. Like a train.
My poor esophagus burned for hours last night while I tossed and turned until T woke up and I very unpolitely asked/told him to go get me Tums. Not exactly something I want to experience again.
Suffice it to say, we were both nice and ornery at 2:00 a.m. Not exactly the way we wanted to start the morning off...
I had horrible heartburn this pregnancy. I found something that SAVED me (way better than Tums for me). Every night an hour or two before bed I took Gaviscon (you can buy it at Target). It's safe during pregnancy. It creates a foamy layer between your stomach and esophogas and stops acid from coming up. I could only sleep if I remembered to take it. I have lots of heartburn tricks of you want to hear more. =)
