farm field trip with a little bit of T.

Today was Farm Field Day at Harward Farms in Springville for our 2nd grade.  It's always one of the highlights of the year for my students.  They have about 15 stations set-up for the kids to learn about farms and agriculture.  They get to see a sheep getting sheered, talk to a Terry the Talking Tomato, see the amount of germs on their hands under a blue light, and eat some food out of every food group.

Kind of an awesome field trip.

We also learned about cows, what they eat, and the types of cows.

And you can't forget the animals.  The baby piglets get me every. single.  year.

I want one.

This year they even had a baby calf.

And for the first time EVER, Tyler got to finally come on a field trip with us.  My kids were stoked.  Heck, I was excited!  It's not many often that your husband gets to go on a field trip with you.  T said it's probably been about 17 years since he's been on a field trip (not including band tours and high school trips).

So it was kinda awesome he was able to come.

I know it was that much more exciting for me.  I love me a good field trip with well-behaved kiddos (which, mine always are), but throw in an attractive husband and it gets even better.

No one got lost, hurt, or sick.  Definitely a successful field trip.

Needless to say, today was a much better day than yesterday.  And that's including a 2 hour teacher development after school.
