It's official. My clothes are starting to fit all wrong. My shirts are tight and the the fabric between the buttons on my button-down shirts is starting to be stretched to it's limit. Though, my pants are fitting perfectly again. I think once this bump migrated north, my pants decided to button comfortably once more.
Weird.
But I've needed some longer shirts badly the past week or so. I've been wearing cardigans with everything along with tank tops tucked into my pants to avoid some serious plumbers crack (my 2nd graders will thank me one day for keeping their minds pure and clean). T and I knew that the day would come when I'd have to start getting some other clothes for our growing baby and planned on it being a future expense. Surprisingly (and very gratefully), we had a closer than close family friend (Thank you, Becky!) offer to start up my maternity wardrobe.
Let's just say she didn't just start it up. She helped get me completely outfitted for the winter months ahead with a growing belly! So a few stores later we had pants, shirts, dresses, and leggings picked out. We spent all Saturday morning catching up, laughing at how little we actually knew about picking out maternity clothes, and having a grand time together.
It reminded me of how much I've missed the times we'd spend at her house when I was little. Becky isn't just a friend, she's family. And I'm so grateful that she is. She has quite the stories from her childhood and growing up that I could listen to for hours. I'm one lucky gal to know her. And not because she was so generous in helping us getting started with maternity wear!
The maternity shirts definitely have room for me to grow into them, but oh how nice it is to bend over and have everything all covered up!

Food-wise I'm doing fantastic. I'm back to eating all of my regular foods and had a nice beefy tomato on my BLT the other night. And eggs! I can eat eggs again. Just not in the morning. Then I want to gag.
The only strange thing that started happening recently was trying not to gag while I brush my teeth. That's really the only thing that kicks in my gag reflex these days. But, I do love me some fresh breath and clean teeth so I brush at least twice a day. That's also attributed to this weird metallic taste I get in my mouth every so often.

The bump isn't growing too much. You can barely tell I'm pregnant when I'm standing front and center. But, once I turn for a profile view, it becomes a little more distinct. It's harder to flex my ab muscles these days too. They're getting more loose and making way for Baby Kussee as it moves upwards.
Still not feeling Baby Kussee moving. But, our ultrasound last week reassured us that he/she is definitely moving and getting his/her exercise! There really couldn't have been anything more comforting than seeing our baby move.
My hair is doing some super awesome things too. It doesn't get nearly as greasy and I can actually go a couple of days between washes, which has never been possible for my fine, thin hair.

Tyler and I actually started talking baby names this week. We downloaded a baby name app onto my phone and started browsing and saying some names out loud to see how they sounded. We've got a handful we like, but we're those parents that need to see the kid before we actually give them a set name that they have to go by for the rest of their life. At least, that's how we feel now. And that's our parental right. I like the sound of that. "Parental Right." My mind just opened up to all of the other parental rights I'll have in the future. This parenting thing could get a little too fun.
Our next ultrasound/doctor's appointment is set for the first Friday of January. I neeeeed to know this kids gender so I can start prepping some of the fun things we get to do.
The nursery! Baby gear! Baby furniture!
Maybe it's a good thing we don't know the gender yet...
